Quarterback Bryan Paul of West L.A. College, a former starter at Moorpark High, was selected Western State Conference player of the week after passing for 301 yards and four touchdowns in a 56-30 victory Saturday over Glendale.

Ventura’s Brandon Scott, who rushed for 235 yards and two touchdowns, and defensive back Bobby Bass, who had three interceptions and six tackles, also were honored.
